  • What is CRISPR, and how can it be a game changer?
    PhD Sigrid Bratlie Thoresen, senior advisor, the Biotechnology Advisory Board

    She will explain how the CRISPR-technology works and how we can use it for research and treatment. She will also talk about the status of the use of this technology in Norway and abroad.
     
  • How can we use CRISPR in precision medicine?
    Professor Kjetil Taskén, Director, the Biotechnology Centre of Oslo and Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM), Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo (UiO)

    He will give examples of use of CRISPR and other new technologies in precision medicine.
     
  • CRISPR and ethical challenges
    Professor Jan Helge Solbakk, Centre for Medical Ethics, Institute of Health and Society, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo (UiO)

    He will talk about what ethical challenges we are facing with this new groundbreaking technology. Why should we allow, or not allow, the use of CRISPR in humans?
